ASB (Anti-Social Behaviour)
Location:
Sturminster Newton- Stour Castle.
Issue:
Drug related ASB by those residing and visiting specific address and surrounding area, causing distress to local other local residents and the wider town.
Planned action to tackle this issue:
- Collaborate with the Community Safety partnership and local housing providers to look at a wide range of options and interventions,
- Engage with the local community to reassure and develop intelligence,
- Take robust action where offences are committed.

September Update:
Since our last update there has been a reduction in calls around ASB.
- We have continued to with our multi-agency work to tackle this priority.
- Some offenders have moved and evidence gathering continued to take place in order to utilise civil powers in partnership.
- Intelligence gathering continues to take place.
- We have continued with out hotspot patrols.
August Update:
- Multi agency visits undertaken
- Liaison with housing regarding status of certain properties
- Persons moved on from key addresses.
- On going work relating to visits to area and key addresses
July Update:
Whilst good proactive work has taken place, we recognise that this problem is not resolved. ASB continues to be an priority for the team as me move into the next 3 months of priorities, therefore this priority has been reissued and work will continue to tackle ASB in the area over the upcoming summer months.
June Update:
- Multi-agency approach is taking place,
- Proactive patrols are also taking place,
- Persons have been removed from a property to protect the resident.

Issue:
There has been an increase in reported ASB linked to drugs in the vicinity affecting the lives of other residents.
Planned action to tackle this issue:
- Work with legislation to seek prosecutions.
- Work collaboratively with the Local authority and housing providers- using civil interventions.
- Engage with local residents.
- Develop intelligence.
