Illegal and anti-social use of vehicles (off road motorcycles)

Issue:
Off road bikes are being ridden illegally and anti-socially around the estate causing distress to local residents
Planned action to tackle this issue:
- Targeted high-visibility patrols at key times (local officers and specialist teams)
- Robust enforcement action where possible including warning notices and vehicle seizures
- Partnership working with Dorset Council and other key agencies

July update:
- This issue remains a local priority for the team due to the harm it causes to the local community and we will continue to focus our efforts in the area
- In the last month we have conducted regular patrols, attended a local residents meeting and continued gathering intelligence to identify and deter those involved
June update:
- Targeted patrols of the Corelli estate continuing at key times
- Incidents are still being reported and local officers are following up by making relevant enquiries to identify those involved
May update:
- Local residents have provided us with some excellent CTCV footage of incidents, which we have reviewed and identified some offenders. The footage will also assist us in prosecuting the offenders for road traffic offences
- We recently seized a motorbike due to being driven recklessly
- Targeted patrols of the Corelli estate will continue

Shoplifting
Location:

Issue:
There has been an increase in shoplifting to local businesses at the retail park causing harm to staff, customers and the wider community
Planned action to tackle this issue:
- Targeted high-visibility patrols at key times and locations
- Multi-agency working with Avon & Somerset Police and the local Town-Link scheme
- Dedicated policing operations

- This issue remains a local priority for the team due to the harm it causes to the local community and we will continue to focus our efforts in the area
- In the last month we have worked with Yeovil police to arrest a repeat offender who has been recalled to prison and we have identified another prolific offender who we will deal with robustly
- Regular patrols and engagement with local business have continued

- We continue targeted patrols in the area at key times
- We are making proactive enquires to locate a wanted suspect involved in theft offences
May update:
- We have increased our patrols in the area
- Engaged with local businesses to streamline reporting processes
- Working with Avon and Somerset Police to target suspects who live in Yeovil
