Dorset Police is committed to delivering exceptional local policing, putting local communities at the heart of everything we do and to providing a safe county for everyone.
Each ward area has a dedicated Neighbourhood Policing Team, supported by a Neighbourhood Enforcement team and Rural crime team that collaborate with partners and stakeholders to target activity, tackling issues that are important to local communities.

Stores are being targeted for goods, leading to financial loses and concern from local residents.Planned action to tackle this issue:
- We will conduct high visibility patrols,
- We will take robust action on offenders,
- We will collaborate with local partners on offenders,
- We will collaborate with both stores on prevention and detection.Action taken:
June Update:
- Repeat offender identified,
- Evidence gathered and investigation ongoing,
- Collaboration with partners is taking place, looking at longer term interventions,

Local youths are causing a range of issues which are causing concern to the public, this includes intimidation.Planned action to tackle this issue:
- We will conduct high visibility patrols,
- We will hold engagement with the local community to understand the issues, including the use of Community Contact Points,
- We will work in collaboration with the Community Safety Partnership and local housing providers to work on education and interventions,
- We will engage with local schools in the area,
- We will take proportionate action where offences take place.Action taken:

- Hi-visibility patrols at Potterne Park, Tesco and Morrisons,
- Officers have been interacting with the local youth club,
- 1x report of child/youth related ASB in the past 31 days.
