|Location||Weymouth & Poole|
Could you lead and inspire our Volunteer Police Cadets?
Volunteer Police Cadets encourage the spirit of adventure and good citizenship amongst its members, giving each young person the opportunity to thrive. Young people from all backgrounds are encouraged to join, including those who may be vulnerable to the influences of crime or social exclusion. We now have opportunities to join our team and be a part of our wider Police Family.
As a Volunteer Police Cadet Leader, you will promote positive community engagement by working with, leading and inspiring our Police Cadets to become good citizens and build their confidence as they become young adults.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with an interest in youth engagement are essential. We will provide you with all the appropriate training, including First Aid and Level 2 Safeguarding, in addition to all the support you need.
There is a minimum volunteering requirement of 4 hours per month in order to support our weekly Cadet evening sessions which are shared between leaders, as well as occasional weekend events.
Please note that for this role applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Experience of youth work desirable but not essential. Applications are welcomed from serving Police Officers and Police Staff, however this is on the basis of volunteering outside of duty time.
If you are interested in the Unit leader Vacancy, please state this on your application form.
