We want your Halloween to be full of treats, not tricks, but your idea of fun might not be someone else’s.
Be aware that not everyone celebrates Halloween or wants people coming to their door. Some people, particularly the elderly and vulnerable, may get worried or even frightened if strangers are continually calling at their door during the evening.
Please respect those who don’t want to take part in trick or treating. Stick to areas and people you know. People who welcome trick or treaters often put a pumpkin outside their house or in their window as a sign.
Or, if you'd like to welcome trick-or-treaters but don't have any decorations, you can download and print a poster to colour in at home.
If you would prefer to spend a quiet evening undisturbed – then please download and print our “Sorry – no trick or treat” poster to put in your window.
Retailers, a poster for you to display if you wish - "Eggs and flour will be sold at our discretion".
For those who want a bigger image to colour please download the halloween colouring sheet.
