Secure police systems

Information provided under notification will be recorded on ViSOR; the database used to store and manage information obtained as a result of a notification requirement. Some reduced details will be recorded on other police systems such as the Police National Computer and local police information systems, however this will not include sensitive information such as bank account details.  

All data is processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act and the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.

Those individuals who have access to the database are subject to heightened vetting standards.
