Welcome to the Force’s Gender Pay Gap Report 2023, which explains all the great work we have been undertaking to build a truly inclusive organisation.
We aim to create a culture that allows our colleagues to bring their whole selves to work, to be their best, to thrive and to perform well. We know that having a culture that supports everyone is good for both our organisation and the communities that we serve.
Inclusion for all doesn’t just happen, we have to have focus, determination and senior leaders who are passionate about providing an environment where people feel cared about and can thrive. I am confident we have this at Dorset Police.
Over the last 3 years we have made good progress in attracting more women to commence a career in policing. Whilst we are pleased with this achievement it’s important that we make changes within our organisation to ensure we better support all women. Areas of focus have included:
Additionally, we were proud to host the Women in Policing conference in October 2022 and hear from inspirational speakers from across policing and wider industry.
The plans we have are deliberate and focussed and will support the delivery of results and help us to continue to close our gender pay gap.
