Director of People and Support Services Jo Mosley

Assistant Chief Officer Jo Mosley started in her role as the Director of People & Support Services in July 2021.

Prior to that, Jo had been Human Resources Director for the Salvation Army, for four years.

Before that, Jo served as part of the senior leadership team for Guide Dogs for the Blind, and Mencap.

Jo has an extensive human resources-based background in the voluntary sector.

Jo has a history of delivering positive change within and on behalf of the organisations she has worked for, focusing on supporting people with disabilities, those at risk of social exclusion, and promoting women in leadership.

Jo is committed to influencing the future of civil society and the people agenda; she is a strong and passionate leader with clear strategic vision and a passion for making positive change with the energy and tenacity to get results. It is clear that Jo shares in our vision and mission, and has consistently displayed in her roles the values that we uphold in our organisation.

After completing her degree in 1992, Jo commenced her career with Endsleigh Insurance before setting up the first Family Adviser Service in the UK. Five years later Jo became a National Training Strategy Manager, before moving to Mencap where she served as the Head of Volunteering. In 2009, Jo took over as the Head of Volunteering for Guide Dogs for the Blind, before stepping up to Deputy Director of People and Business Services in 2012. In 2017, Jo moved to the Salvation Army as their HR Director.
