Witness appeal after street robbery in Bournemouth

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a man was robbed in Bournemouth.

Police were called to Moore Avenue at 11.24pm on Friday 25 March 2016 following reports a man had been assaulted by another man with a baseball bat. His car keys and wallet were also stolen.

The victim, a 29-year-old man from Blandford, sustained injuries to his face. He was taken to Poole Hospital for treatment.

The offender is described as a white man, aged in his early 20s, of slim build and around five feet six inches tall. He had short brown hair and was wearing a blue tracksuit top and bottoms.

Detective Constable Michelle Lawrence, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the relevant time to please call me on 101.

“I would also ask anyone who may have found a baseball bat, wallet or car keys in the vicinity to contact police.”

No arrests have been made.
