Reports of abduction in North Bournemouth unfounded

Dorset Police has been contacted by a number of people in the past two days, reporting that they have heard information about an attempted abduction and a man acting suspiciously outside schools in the North Bournemouth area.

Dorset Police Superintendent, Mick Rogers, said: "Following extensive enquiries, we can confirm that these reports are unfounded and no suspicious activity or attempted abduction has taken place. It would appear that the information members of the public have called us with has come as a result of an unfounded rumour.

"I'd like to reassure all parents, and the North Bournemouth Community, that we have investigated these reports and are satisfied that no incident has occurred."
