Renewed witness appeal after alleged Poole assault

Detectives investigating an alleged serious assault in Poole, where two men have been charged, are appealing for a potential witness to come forward and have released CCTV footage of him.

The alleged assault happened just before midnight on Sunday 28 February 2016 in Parkstone Heights.

It was reported that a local man aged in his 20s had sustained serious stab injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Inspector Andy Roberts, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am now able to release CCTV footage of a potential witness who came to the man’s aid following the incident.

“He is described as white, was wearing a bobble hat and was carrying a rucksack. We believe he may have witnessed the incident or may have important evidence.

“We believe this person has walked through Parkstone Heights at around the time of the alleged offence and has then walked across Ringwood Road into Dorchester Road, toward Foxholes Road.

“If you are this person, I would ask you to please contact police on 101 as you may hold vital information that could assist me with my investigation.”
