Parkwood Road murder investigation - mobile phone recovered

Detectives investigating the murder of Glyn Helliwell believe that they may have recovered the man's missing mobile phone.

This afternoon, Monday, 11 July 2011, detectives recovered a Sony Ericsson k800i from a business premises along Colville Road in the Pokesdown area of Bournemouth.

Detective Chief Inspector Kevin Connolly, of Dorset Police's Major Crime Team, said: "We consider this discovery as a major development in this murder investigation.

"I am appealing for anyone who may have any information which may help our enquiries, to contact the enquiry team as soon as possible.

"A cordon has been set up around the premises and the scene is being forensically examined by specialist officers.

"I am confident that local residents, traders and the media can help solve this investigation.

"We are still seeking the help of the public in relation to the missing murder weapon, a knife."
