Murder investigation launched after Bournemouth man dies
At 11.06pm on Thursday, 7 April 2011, officers were called to an incident at Hawkwood Road, near the junction with Sea Road, in the Boscombe area of Bournemouth.
A man – believed to be in his twenties – had sustained serious injuries and died at hospital in the early hours of Friday, 8 April 2011. His next of kin have not yet been informed. The coroner has been notified.
Detectives have launched a murder investigation.
Two men, both from Bournemouth, and aged 40 and 39, and a woman also from Bournemouth, aged 32, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. One of the men has sustained minor injuries.
Cordons are in place at the junction of Hawkward Road and Sea Road, at the junction of Sea Road and Cecil Road, in Roumillia Lane at the elbow junction from Christchurch Road and also at the junction of Sea Road and Christchurch Road.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to contact police urgently.
Police officers will be carrying out high visibility patrols in the area to provide reassurance. Detectives and uniformed officers are speaking with local residents.
