Man charged after firearms incident in Townsend
Detectives investigating a firearms incident in the Townsend area of Bournemouth have charged a man.
The incident, which took place at an address in Jewell Road, was reported to police at half past midnight on Wednesday 16 April 2014. A window at the front of the property was damaged.
A 48-year-old local man, who was inside the property, sustained a pellet injury to his body and was taken to hospital. He was later released.
A 24-year-old man from Bournemouth has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence, affray and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Bournemouth magistrates on Saturday 19 April 2014.
A 25-year-old Bournemouth man and a 24-year-old Bournemouth man, both also arrested in connection with the incident, have been released on bail.
