30 March 2016
Police investigating a fatal collision in Bournemouth have renewed their appeal for witnesses.
At around 12.45pm on Thursday 10 March 2016, a road traffic collision occurred in Kinson Road, close to the junction with Canford Avenue, between a black Ford Focus and a red Yamaha motorcycle.
Sadly the rider of the motorcycle – 40-year-old Daniel Earl of Bournemouth – died at the scene from his injuries.
The driver of the Focus, a local woman aged in her 60s, was uninjured.
Police Constable James Howes, of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or the manner of driving or riding of either vehicle prior to the incident and is yet to speak to officers to please call me on 101.
“I am particularly keen to trace the driver of a metallic turquoise-coloured car which was parked in Kinson Road at the time of the collision but left the scene shortly after the incident.
“I am also aware that a white driving school car was in the area at the time of the collision and I believe they may have information which could assist my investigation.
“Daniel Earl’s family have requested complete privacy at this very difficult time but wish to pass their thanks to everyone who has sent cards, flowers and condolences for the loss of Daniel who was very much loved and will be greatly missed.”
