Drugs warrant executed in Sherborne

Police executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address in Sherborne on Friday 11 January 2013.

Officers carried out the warrant shortly after 7am at an address on Noake Road.

Two men and one woman were in the property when the warrant was executed.

Two firearms were recovered and a number of bank cards were seized during the operation.

The firearms are due to be examined to establish if they are illegal.

Sergeant Rachel Goodwin, of Sherborne Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “The execution of this warrant shows that we will take action if there is any suspicion of drugs offences being committed in Sherborne.

“Our Safer Neighbourhood officers work closely with patrol officers to keep Sherborne safe and to proactively deal with information relating to drugs offences.

“I would urge members of the public who may have concerns, suspicions or any information about the misuse of drugs to contact Dorset Police on 101 so that we can take action.”

No arrests were made during the operation.
