Attempted murder investigation in Bournemouth
Detectives have launched an attempted murder investigation after a woman sustained stab wounds at an address in Bournemouth – with one man being arrested.
At 4.12pm today, Saturday 20 June 2015, officers were called to an address in Colehill Crescent.
A woman in her twenties had sustained serious stab wounds and was taken to Poole Hospital.
A 26-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and is helping police with their enquiries.
It is not known at this time whether the alleged offender is known to the victim.
A cordon has been put in place and is expected to remain there for some time while crime scene investigators carry out a thorough examination of the scene.
Detective Inspector Joan Carmichael, of Bournemouth CID, said: “It is still early in our investigation.
