Alleged criminal damage to property in Bridport

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after windows of vehicles and houses sustained damage in Bridport – with two men arrested.

The incidents took place on Sunday 5 January 2014 starting at around 8.30pm.

A window of a house was broken in Swithins Road.

One vehicle in Armstrong Road and two in Orchard Crescent sustained damage to a window – one of these also had damage to tyres.

Furthermore, a window of the Tanners public house in West Arlington was broken.

Detective Constable Paula Hollick, of Western CID, said: “These incidents have caused an obvious inconvenience to the property owners.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incidents to contact police in confidence.”

A 40-year-old man and a 41-year-old man, both from Bridport, have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
