Alleged assault in Poole town centre

Dorset Police are currently investigating an alleged assault which occurred after 3pm on Thursday 28 January 2016 in an alleyway close to Poole High School off Wimborne Road in Poole.

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital for treatment to a single stab wound. His condition is not life-threatening. No one else was injured in the incident.

The boy’s family have been informed and are with him.

The alleyway has been cordoned off and an investigation is now underway.

Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team have been carrying out high-visibility patrols yesterday and today to reassure the community.

The incident is not connected to the reported stabbing in Poole Park on Saturday 23 January 2016.
