Officers continuing to investigate a reported stabbing in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
The incident occurred at around 5.30pm on Sunday 2 February 2020, near to the junction of Sea Road and Christchurch Road in Boscombe. A man aged in his 40s was reportedly assaulted by two men and his Mongoose bike was stolen.
The man sustained two suspected puncture wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment. He was released later that day.
Officers attended the scene and two men were arrested following a search.
A 41-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested and subsequently charged with wounding with intent, possessing a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and theft of a bicycle. He is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 5 March 2020.
A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and robbery and has been released on police bail.
Detective Constable Thomas Norman, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries into this incident and I am appealing for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.
“I would also like to hear from anyone else with information that could assist our investigation.”
