Witness appeal following road incident near Dorchester

Officers investigating an incident on the A356 near Dorchester are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

Dorset Police was called at 2.23pm on Thursday 30 January 2020 to a report of a collision involving a car and a group of dogs at Toller Down Gate near Rampisham.

One of the dogs received minor injuries. The driver of the car did not sustain any injuries. 

Police Constable Pete Moore, of Sherborne Police, said: “I am keen to establish the circumstances surrounding this collision and would urge any witnesses to please get in touch.

“I am also appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a group of dogs on the A356 on Thursday 30 January to please come forward.

“If you have any relevant dashcam footage to assist my investigation, please get in touch.”
