Criminal damage to community project in Blandford – witness appeal

Police in Blandford are investigating an incident of criminal damage and are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.

Sometime between 4pm on Saturday 18 June and 10am on Sunday 19 June 2016 damage was caused to Spetisbury community railway garden project.

A substantial amount of damage was caused to benches, pots, plants and the surrounding fence.

Police Constable Natalie Skinner, of Blandford police, said: “This was a reckless and mindless act that has impacted greatly on the community and those who were involved in working hard to make the project a focal point for the area.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw someone committing damage to the railway garden project during the relevant times to please contact Dorset Police.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may know who was responsible for this crime to please get in touch.”
