Witness appeal after attempted thefts in Bournemouth

Officers investigating the attempted thefts from cars in two roads nearby to each other in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. 

It is reported that between 7.30am and 8am on Saturday 11 January 2020 a man tried to gain access to several cars on Wentworth Avenue and Rotherfield Road.

The man is described as aged in his 20s to 40s, bearded and wearing a black hat, dark coat and a rucksack.

Police Community Support Investigator Richard Frew, of Bournemouth Police, said: “Whilst nothing was stolen or damaged, we are keen to establish the circumstances surrounding these incidents and I would like to identify the man involved.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the relevant time to please contact us.”
