Update – man due in court in connection with reported fail-to-stop collision in Bournemouth

A man is due to appear in court in connection with a reported fail-to-stop collision in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police was called at 11.44pm on Friday 2 August 2019 to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car on Boscombe Overcliffe Drive. A 36-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

Following enquiries, a 29-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested in connection with the incident.

He has now been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday 20 December 2019 for offences of dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident, failing to report an accident and driving when his alcohol level was above the legal limit.
