UPDATE - Alleged fail-to-stop collision in Wimborne

A man is due to appear in court charged in connection with an alleged fail-to-stop collision in Wimborne.

At approximately 9.30pm on Saturday 11 June 2016 it was reported that a collision occurred on Poole Road involving a small blue coloured hatchback car and a pedestrian.

It is alleged the driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene. 

The pedestrian, a 48-year-old woman from Wareham, suffered Injuries to her knee and face and was taken to Poole Hospital.

A 28-year-old man of Poole has been charged with attempt to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, dangerous driving, driving otherwise in accordance with a licence, using a motor vehicle without insurance and failing to stop after a road accident and is due to appear before Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday 22 July 2016.
