Witness appeal following fail-to-stop collision in Poole

Officers investigating a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Between 5.30pm and 5.45pm on Monday 30 September 2019 a woman aged in her 20s was cycling on West Street, near to the junction with The Quay, when she was involved in a collision with a dark-coloured Vauxhall Insignia. The car failed to stop at the scene of the collision.

Police Constable James Hazell, of Poole police, said: “Fortunately the cyclist involved did not sustain any serious injuries as a result of this collision.

“I appreciate the incident was some time ago but we have only recently been able to take a full account from the victim.

“We are continuing to make enquiries and I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident or may have captured it on dascham to please contact us.”
