Witness appeal after fail-to-stop collision in Wimborne

Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a fail-to-stop collision in the town.

At approximately 9.30pm on Saturday 11 June 2016 a collision occurred on Poole Road involving a small blue coloured hatchback car and a pedestrian.

The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene. The pedestrian, a 48-year-old woman from Wareham, suffered Injuries to her knee and face and was taken to Poole Hospital.

The vehicle is likely to have damage to the driver’s window.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may have any information on the whereabouts of the vehicle or the driver involved to contact Dorset Police.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 11:387. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
