Witness appeal following burglary near Dorchester

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a burglary at a construction site near Dorchester.

A report was received at 6.55am yesterday, Monday 8 July 2019, about a burglary at a construction site at Silverlake in Warmwell.

Sometime over the weekend offenders entered the site and stole a large quantity of power tools and building materials.

Inspector Neil Wood, of Dorchester Police, said: “Enquiries are underway into the incident and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area over the weekend and saw or heard anything suspicious to please get in touch.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen any tools or building materials for sale locally in suspicious circumstances.

“If you have any information that may assist my investigation, please contact Dorset Police.”
