Update – man charged in connection with reported theft of charity boxes in Christchurch

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged theft of charity boxes from a pub in Christchurch.

The incident occurred at around 7.30am on Saturday 6 October 2018 at Ye Old George Inn in Castle Street, with entry reportedly forced to the property and charity boxes taken.

Following enquiries by officers, a 44-year-old Southampton man has been arrested and charged with burglary. He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 23 July 2019.
