Update - witness appeal following reported assault in Purbeck

A woman arrested in connection with a reported assault involving a glass bottle in Purbeck has been released under investigation.

Dorset Police received a report at 12.34pm on Sunday 21 April 2019 that a woman aged in her 20s had been struck by another woman with a glass wine bottle at the site of an unauthorised gathering at Wytch in Corfe Castle, near Wareham.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to a broken hand and laceration to her face.

A 21-year-old woman from Gloucestershire was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm. She has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
