Witness appeal following reported public order incident in Weymouth

Officers investigating reports of a public order incident in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The incident occurred at around 12.30pm on Thursday 14 March 2019 at the junction of Louviers Road and Littlemoor Road, near to the Littlemoor Shopping Centre.

A man aged in his 40s and a woman aged in her 30s pulled up behind a taxi, a blue Ford Mondeo. A 19-year-old man, who was known to the couple, got out and a verbal altercation is reported to have taken place.

Police Constable Chris Stephens, of Weymouth police, said: “We have spoken to both parties involved in this incident and I am now appealing for any independent witnesses to contact us so we can establish the full circumstances.

“I would also urge anyone who was in the area at the time and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to check their footage for anything relevant.”
