Witness appeal following reported disturbance in Poole

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a reported disturbance in Poole.

Dorset Police was called just before 8pm on Thursday 14 March 2019 to reports of an altercation outside of Santander in Ashley Road.

Officers attended and discovered two men had sustained head injuries. Two men aged 34 and 46 were taken to hospital for treatment. A baseball bat was recovered. 

The 34-year-old man from Poole was subsequently arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and is assisting officers with their enquiries. 

Detective Constable Steve Davis, of Bournemouth CID, said: “A full investigation is underway and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or any suspicious activity in the area of Ashley Road yesterday evening at around 8pm, to contact us.”
