Alleged criminal damage and assault in Bournemouth – CCTV appeal

13 March 2019
Officers investigating a reported criminal damage and assault incident in Bournemouth are issuing CCTV images of a suspect.

At around 7pm on Tuesday 22 January 2019 residents were alerted to an altercation taking place between a man and woman in Capstone Road in Charminster.

A female suspect was seen throwing stones at cars parked in the street and a loud band was heard. Damage was reportedly caused to the bonnet of a car.

It is reported that a man who confronted the couple was allegedly punched and kicked in the head.

A 37-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Investigations officer Lucy Wickham, of Bournemouth police, said: “I have carried out extensive enquiries in a bid to identify the woman involved in this incident but they have so far been unsuccessful.

“I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of the woman. While I appreciate the quality of the photos is not very good, I hope that someone may recognise her and I would ask anyone who knows who she is to please contact Dorset Police.”
