Witness appeal following robbery at bookmakers in Poole

Detectives investigating a robbery at a bookmakers in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police was called at 5.29pm on Monday 25 February 2019 following a report that a robbery had occurred at Ladbrokes on Commercial Road.

Three masked men entered the store and demanded money from staff. It was reported one of the men was holding something in a carrier bag, but no weapon was seen. 

The men stole a quantity of cash before leaving the store.

No one was physically injured.

Detective Sergeant Mark Portelli, of Bournemouth CID, said: "This was a very distressing incident for the member of staff involved and a full investigation into the circumstances is underway.

“I am appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time of this offence to please contact Dorset Police.

"We would also ask any motorists with a dashcam who were travelling through the area close to the time to get in touch with us."
