Update – appeal after man found with head injury in Weymouth

Detectives investigating an incident where a man was found with a head injury in Weymouth have issued an update.

Dorset Police was called by the ambulance service at 9.54pm on Saturday 19 January to reports that a man aged in his 20s had been located unconscious with a head injury on Beverley Road in Weymouth.

He was taken to Southampton Hospital in a critical condition.

Detective Sergeant Tom Hall, of Weymouth CID, said: “I am pleased to report that the injured man has now left hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

“We have conducted a full investigation into this incident and have now spoken with the man involved. From these enquiries we do not believe there was any third party involvement and we are no longer treating the incident as suspicious.”
