Witness appeal after collision near Dorchester

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a collision near Dorchester.

At around 9pm on Saturday 7 May 2016, a road traffic collision occurred on the A352 at Nether Cerne.

Four motorcycles were travelling toward Cerne Abbas when they were confronted with a red vehicle which is believed to have been either turning around in the road or involved in a previous accident.

The motorcyclists were forced to brake and three of them collided.

Two men aged 47 and 52, and both from Dorchester, sustained minor injuries. The three motorbikes were also damaged.

Police Sergeant Steve Hughes, of Dorchester Police, said: “The car was not involved in the collision and left the scene.

“I am keen to speak to the driver of the red car and I would urge them to please come forward. I am also keen to hear from anyone who saw the motorcycles being driven along the A352 prior to the incident.”
