Update after woman found with injuries in Christchurch

Detectives investigating how an elderly woman sustained injuries in Christchurch are issuing an update.

At 2.15pm today, Monday 24 December 2018, Dorset Police was called by the ambulance service to the car park at the Royal British Legion on Bargates after a woman aged in her 70s was found unresponsive.

She was taken to hospital for treatment and her family was informed. 

Detective Inspector Neil Wright, of Bournemouth CID, said: “While our investigation remains ongoing, we have been able to carry out a number of initial enquiries into this incident. At this time we do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding how she sustained her injuries or that anyone else was involved.

“We are satisfied the injured woman is now receiving the appropriate care.”
