Update – appeal after reports of a drinking spiking incident on Bournemouth beach

A man arrested in connection with reports a woman had her drink spiked on a Bournemouth beach has been released without charge.

The incident was reported to have occurred sometime between 4.30pm and 6pm on Sunday 10 June 2018 in the area of Alum Chine.

A 40-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of administering a substance with intent to stupefy or overpower to allow sexual activity but has now been released without charge.

Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
