Robbery in Weymouth – witness appeal

Officers investigating the robbery of a 17-year-old boy in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The incident occurred at approximately 2.45pm on Friday 14 September 2018 as the victim was walking through an alleyway linking Derby Street and Chelmsford Street.

He was assaulted and had money taken from him. The victim sustained a minor injury to his leg.

The first suspect is described as white, around six feet tall, aged in his late teens and wore jogging bottoms and a hooded top with the hood up.

The second suspect is described as white, around six feet tall, also aged in his late teens and wore dark blue jogging bottoms and a dark blue hooded top with the hood up. 

CCTV and house-to-house enquiries remain ongoing. 

Investigations officer Karen O’Donnell, of Weymouth CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the relevant time and saw or heard anything suspicious to please contact Dorset Police.”
