Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an alleged assault in Bridport – with one man arrested.
Just after midnight on Saturday 23 April 2016 Dorset Police was called to reports of an assault outside the Greyhound public house on East Street.
A 19-year-old local man had sustained a puncture wound to his back and a cut to his left hand. He was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is not life-threatening.
Detective Constable Declan Cummings, of Weymouth CID, said: “We know that there were a number of people in the area at the time and I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything outside the Greyhound pub and has not yet spoken to police, to please call me on 101.”
A 28-year-old man of Bridport was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until the beginning of June 2016.
