Update – further charge in relation to reported stabbing in Bournemouth

A second man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Boscombe and is due to appear at court today, Thursday 2 August 2018.

Dorset Police received a report at 10.30pm on Friday 27 July 2018 that a man had been found with stab wounds in Christchurch Road, near to the junction with Gloucester Road.

The man reported that he had been attacked by two men who were known to him in a nearby alleyway, which leads to Corpus Christi Church. His injuries were not life threatening and he has since left hospital.

A 31-year-old Bournemouth man appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Monday 30 July 2018 charged with wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. He is next due to appear before Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 30 August 2018.

A second man, aged 27 and of Bournemouth, has also now been arrested and charged with wounding with intent and is due to appear before Poole Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 2 August 2018.
