Update - appeal after theft of mobility scooter in Christchurch

A man has come forward following a CCTV appeal issued in connection with the reported theft of a mobility scooter in Christchurch.

The incident took place at a bus stop on Somerford Road at the junction with Dennistoun Avenue at around 12.30pm on Tuesday 10 July 2018.

The victim - a local man aged in his 90s - left the Shoprider scooter by the bus stop and got on the bus to go into the town centre. When he returned it was gone.

A 26-year-old man from Christchurch has made contact with officers and is assisting with the investigation. No arrests have been made.
