Update - CCTV appeal following reported robbery in Bournemouth

A man has come forward following a CCTV appeal issued in connection with a reported robbery in Bournemouth town centre.

At around 2am on Friday 25 May 2018 the victim, a local man aged in his 30s, was in Old Christchurch Road near to the Camel Bar when he was reportedly approached by two men.

It is alleged the men threatened the victim with violence and demanded that he withdrew money from a cashpoint and hand it to them. At least £30 was taken.

The victim was not physically injured. 

An 18-year-old man from Bournemouth has made contact with Dorset Police following a CCTV appeal and is assisting officers with their investigation. No arrests have been made.
