Update – further arrest in connection with reported assault in Weymouth

A second man has been arrested in connection with a reported assault in Weymouth.

At around 5.10pm on Sunday 24 December 2017 Dorset Police was called to reports of a disturbance in King Street.

Officers attended and found two injured men outside the Eats and Drinks store. They were both taken to hospital to be treated for facial injuries. 

It was reported that the two victims had been assaulted by two other men.

A 30-year-old Weymouth man previously arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent was released under investigation.

A 24-year-old man, of no fixed abode, has also now been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released under investigation.
