Update – man released from investigation following assault in Bournemouth

A man arrested in connected with a serious assault in Bournemouth town centre has been released from investigation.

At around 1.50am on Sunday 18 March 2018 it is reported that an altercation occurred in Bar So on Exeter Road between the victim and a group of people. Door staff intervened and the argument continued out on the street.

Shortly afterwards it is alleged the victim – a 27-year-old man from Andover in Hampshire – was assaulted.

A 24-year-old Poole man who was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm has been released from police investigation. No further police action will be taken against him.
