Update – man released without charge following Weymouth assault investigation

A man arrested in connection with an alleged assault in Weymouth has been released without charge.

At around 5.30am on Saturday 30 September 2017 it was reported that a Weymouth man aged in his 40s was assaulted outside of the Nautico Lounge in St Thomas Street. He suffered serious head and back injuries.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm but has now been released without charge.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
