Witness appeal following alleged dangerous driving incident in Wareham

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an alleged dangerous driving incident in Wareham.

At 6.11pm on Friday 6 April 2018 a Nissan Navara was seen being driven from South Street into Trinity Lane in what was reported to be a dangerous manner.

The vehicle has been identified and a full investigation is underway. No arrests have been made.

Police Constable Tom Renshaw, of Purbeck police, said: “It is reported that as the vehicle travelled toward West Street, it narrowly missed two adults and a child who were walking along the pavement. I would ask these people to please come forward as I believe they may be able to assist my investigation.

“I would also urge anyone else who saw the vehicle being driving in the area of Trinity Lane at the relevant time, or has dashcam footage which may be relevant, to contact Dorset Police.”
