Update – man released without charge following fatal collision in Chideock

A man arrested in connection with a fatal road traffic collision in Chideock has been released without charge.

At around 2.30pm on Wednesday 30 August 2017 a collision occurred on North Road involving a green Ford Focus and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian – a 68-year-old local man – sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford – a 48-year-old Bridport man – was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and assisted officers with their investigation. He has now been released without charge.
