Arrests made after man reportedly stabbed in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating an incident in which a man was reportedly stabbed in Bournemouth have arrested two men.

The incident happened at around 8pm on Monday 4 December 2017 at the junction of Lydford Road and Lydford Gardens.

A Bournemouth man aged in his 20s sustained a stab wound to his arm that was inflicted with an unknown weapon. He attended hospital and was released after treatment. 

Detective Inspector Andy Roberts, of Bournemouth CID, said: "We continue to investigate this incident and following a number of enquiries officers today, Wednesday 6 December 2017, carried out an arrest warrant at an address in Turnbull Lane. Two men aged 21 and 23 and both from Liverpool have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are assisting officers with enquiries.

“A search of an address in Turnbull Lane is ongoing.

“I am appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident, to please contact police.

“Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team will be carrying out high visibility patrols in the coming days to officer reassurance to members of the community and can be approached with any concerns.”
