Man released without charge following report of rape on Weymouth beach

A man arrested in connection with a report of a rape on Weymouth beach has been released without charge.

At around 4.15am on Tuesday 4 July 2017 officers were called to The Esplanade following a report of a sexual assault on a local woman aged in her 40s.

A 32-year-old Weymouth man was arrested on suspicion of rape. He has now been released without charge.

Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
